Texas Ranch Stay near Waco with Guided Horseback Rides

The Texas Ranch Stay near Waco with Guided Horseback Rides is designed for groups who want to stay together, slow down, and share time on the land without juggling multiple plans or locations.

Guests stay in a private stone and log home set on more than 300 acres of ranch land, with no other homes within sight. The setting offers a sense of privacy and separation while still feeling comfortable and easy to settle into. The home is well suited for couples, families, or small groups traveling together and looking for a shared base during their time in the area.

Inside, the house includes two downstairs master suites and a loft-style sleeping area upstairs, along with common spaces designed for gathering, meals, and quiet evenings. Outside, the ranch landscape stretches from grassy meadows near the Brazos River through wooded trails and up to elevated bluffs overlooking the river valley.

Guided horseback riding is included as part of the stay and coordinated around your visit rather than fixed to a rigid schedule. The experience includes one Brazos Bluffs Signature Ride and a choice of either a Private Sunset Ride or a Regular Sunset Ride. Ride timing is arranged during the stay based on availability and conditions, allowing the experience to fit naturally into your plans.

The ranch is located approximately 15 minutes from Magnolia Silos and Baylor, offering a balance of seclusion and easy access to Waco. The stay is priced per group, keeping the focus on the shared experience rather than per-person calculations.

    • Cancellations within 72 hours of ride time are non-refundable.
    • No-shows or late arrivals forfeit the booking.
  • What happens if it rains?

We ride in a wide range of Texas weather — sunshine, wind, light rain, and heat are part of the ranch experience.

We will never ask guests or horses to ride in unsafe or miserable conditions.

    • If we determine conditions are unsafe or unreasonably unpleasant, we will cancel the ride.
    • Weather decisions are typically made as close to ride time as possible, once conditions can be accurately assessed.
    • If we cancel due to weather, you will receive a full refund.
  • What is the weight limit?

The rider weight limit is 225 pounds to ensure the safety and comfort of both horse and rider.
  • What is the age minimum?

Riders must be at least 10 years old. Each rider is assigned their own horse — we do not allow double riding.

An adult may not bring a child under 10 and ride together on the same horse.

  • How early should I arrive?

Please arrive no earlier than 30 minutes before your scheduled ride and no later than 10 minutes before ride time.
  • What happens if I arrive late?

Late arrivals forfeit the ride and are not eligible for a refund.

All horseback experiences are conducted at a walk. The ride is scenic, with hills and views, and the focus is on being present in nature — not speed or adrenaline.
  • What if I’ve never ridden before?

If you can follow instructions, we would be glad to have you join us. Most of our rides are beginner-friendly.
  • Is horseback riding safe for beginners?

Our guides match each rider with a horse suited to their experience level and provide instruction before heading out.

However, horseback riding is an outdoor activity involving large animals, and no ride can be considered completely risk-free.

    • Helmets are required for riders under 18 years old.
    • Helmets are optional for adults.
    • We provide helmets at no charge.
  • Can I ride double with a young child?

No. For the safety and comfort of rider and horse, each guest must ride their own horse.
  • Can I ride while pregnant?

No. For safety reasons, pregnant guests are not permitted to ride.

  • Can someone come with me to the ranch if they are not riding?

Yes. Non-riding guests are welcome. There is space to sit, relax, or walk around while the group is out on the trail. Non-riding guests cannot walk along the trails with the horseback riders.
  • Can I bring my dog?

We ask that you leave dogs at home. For the safety of our horses and guests, outside animals are not permitted.
  • Is there a restroom on site?

Yes. Restroom facilities are available on site.
  • Can I use my phone during the ride?

For your safety and the safety of the group, we ask that you not use your phone while riding.

Your guide will capture photos of you along the way so you can stay present and enjoy the experience.

  • Are tips expected for guides?

Tips are not expected. If you have an excellent experience and would like to tip your guide, it is always appreciated.

  • Do you accommodate riders with disabilities?

The safety and comfort of our guests are top priorities. Due to the physical demands and nature of horseback riding, we are unable to accommodate certain physical or mental disabilities.

If you are unsure whether our rides are suitable for you, please contact us before booking. We are happy to discuss your situation and help determine whether this experience is a good fit.
